Dr. Pernille Fabborg-Andersen

I owe my unusual name to my Danish background, as I was born in Denmark, and spent the first 10 years of my life there. I then moved to Montreal, where I obtained my medical degree at McGill University. I was lucky enough to come to beautiful British Columbia for my Pediatric Residency, which I completed at BC Children’s Hospital in 2013.

After my residency, I worked in a number of different urban and rural communities throughout BC. I currently work at BC Women’s Hospital and at Fairmont Pediatrics as a consultant pediatrician. I am involved in teaching students and residents at the hospital. I enjoy caring for children of all ages, with a particular interest in newborn care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, and taking advantage of all that Vancouver has to offer. I love hiking and exploring the local backcountry, cycling up the North Shore mountains, and running the seawall. I am also passionate about good food, and love to cook and eat!
