Dr. Robynn Geier
I was born in Vernon and spent my younger years in beautiful Lake Country, BC. I then ventured to complete my undergraduate degree in Life Sciences at Queen’s University. After graduating in 2011, I started my medical degree at UBC which I completed in 2015. I finished my residency training in Pediatrics at BC Children’s Hospital in 2019. During residency, I served as Chief Resident and it ignited my passion for teaching. Living and working in BC has been a dream – I am so lucky to be surrounded by amazing mentors, patients, and families.
I divide my time between BC Children’s Hospital, where I attend deliveries and provide newborn care, and Surrey Memorial Hospital, where I work as a consultant Pediatrician. I am involved in teaching medical students and residents in the hospital setting, and enjoy being part of medical education. I love the diversity and complexity of Pediatrics, it requires a holistic approach to care and keeps everyday interesting.
Outside of work, I’m an avid downhill skier and enjoy exploring our beautiful outdoors with my husband, either running or road biking. We are also lovers of art, bird watching and going to bed in the 9’s. Essentially, I am a 60-year-old at heart.
What’s a fun fact about Dr. Geier?
I have adopted a South American llama named Leroy.
