Dr. Tatiana Sotindjo
I was born and raised in the national’s capital and now have fallen in love with Vancouver! As a pediatrician and an adolescent medicine specialist, I love caring for children of all ages, youth and their families.
My areas of expertise include adolescent eating disorders, substance use disorder, anxiety, depression and sexual health. I have a personal interest and training in the care of gender expansive children and youth, adoptees and youth in foster care.
As a part of my holistic approach to health and wellness I integrate mindfulness as a tool in the management of pain and anxiety.
I completed both my Honours Baccalaureate in Health Sciences (2006) and Medical Degree, in the French stream at the University of Ottawa (2011). Then I was off to UBC to complete my Pediatric Residency (2015). Subsequently, I have gone on to complete a subspecialty fellowship in Adolescent Medicine.
My other roles include teaching residents and subspecialty trainees as a Clinical Instructor with UBC’s Division of Adolescent Health Evaluation Assessment and Liaison (HEAL) clinic at Surrey Memorial Hospital. I will also be taking on a role of medical consultant in outpatient and inpatient management of substance use disorder in the Lower Mainland.
